X charges for every API call, so the X app is paid from your data credit, not from your plan's tool calls:

A read is charged first for the page size your agent asks for (10 posts by default, 25 at most). ClawLink then refunds the posts X did not return.
To read other people's public posts, profiles or trends, you do not need to connect anything. Use the public data apps, like TikTok, Instagram, X and Reddit public data.
